HOW IT WORKS
A clear path from your first appointment to real answers.
Working with me is meant to feel different from the start - straightforward to book, easy to prepare for, and unhurried once you're in the room. Here's what to expect at every step.
The path from first visit to ongoing care.
Book your first appointment
Choose in-person on Long Island or virtual from anywhere in New York State. Booking is handled online - no phone tag, no gatekeeping, no long waitlist to get in the door. You'll see my available times and pick what works for you.
Complete your intake
After you book, you'll receive an invitation to the secure patient portal. Here, you can complete your intake forms. Share your history, current symptoms, medications, and anything that's been dismissed, missed, or left unanswered along the way. The more you bring into the intake, the more we can cover together.
Your first appointment
New patient appointments are a full 60 minutes - not a rushed history or symptom checklist, but a real conversation about your symptoms, questions, and what you want your life to feel like. I'll review your intake in depth, talk through what I'm seeing, and tell you honestly what I think is going on and what's worth investigating further.
Your care plan and what comes next
You'll leave with a personalized care plan - any targeted lab work that makes sense for you, treatment options discussed in detail, and a clear understanding of what comes next. Follow-up appointments are typically 30 minutes, and I stay involved as your labs return and your plan evolves. When it's appropriate, I share notes directly with your existing providers so your care stays coordinated.
In-person or virtual - same care, either way.
In-Person on Long Island
My office is located in West Islip, on the south shore of Long Island. Patients from across the Island and the greater New York metro area are welcome.
- Address: 631 Montauk Highway, Ste 1B, West Islip, NY 11795
- Parking: On-site, free
- What to bring: Photo ID, a list of current medications, and any recent labs or records
- Labs: Ordered through a local lab (Quest, LabCorp, or another nearby option)
Virtual Across New York State
For patients outside Long Island or anyone who'd rather meet from home, I see patients virtually across New York State. Same appointment, same depth, same physician.
- Platform: Secure, HIPAA-compliant video
- You'll need: A private space, stable internet, and a device with a working camera and microphone
- Location: You must be located in New York State at the time of the appointment
- Labs: Ordered through a local lab near you (Quest, LabCorp, or another nearby option)
The more you bring, the more we can cover.
You've probably been tracking symptoms and collecting records for a long time. The work we do together is better when we start with everything you already know.
Your symptom history
Notebooks, notes on your phone, a timeline in your head - whatever form it's in, bring it. Nothing is too much detail.
A current medication & supplement list
Including doses, how long you've been taking each, and anything you've tried and stopped.
Recent lab work & imaging
From the past two years if possible. If labs came back "normal" but you didn't feel normal, those are especially useful.
Records from previous physicians
Especially from visits where something felt dismissed or unresolved. I want to see what was looked at and what wasn't.
Your questions
Write them down before the appointment. We'll cover what matters to you, not just what fits a standard history.
Ongoing access, not a one-time answer.
The work of figuring out what's going on rarely happens in a single appointment. Once you're an established patient, you'll have direct messaging access through the patient portal for follow-up questions, lab result reviews, and adjustments to your plan between visits.
Messages are typically answered within 1-2 business days. When your care intersects with your existing PCP or gynecologist, I share relevant notes and results with them directly so your broader care team stays informed.
